Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Breast cancer, endometrium cancer, cachexia in AIDS, L-anorexia or cachexia in neoplastic disease.

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, hepatic, impairment, history of thromboembolic disease, severe arterial disease.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

Incomplete abortion, asthma, congestive heart failure, migraine, epilepsy, depression, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Acne, urticaria, fluid retention, weight gain, gastrointestinal disturbances, changes in libido breast discomfort, premenstrual symptoms, irregular menstrual cycles, depression, insomnia, somnolence, alopecia, hirsutism, analphylactoid, like reaction, jaundice, hot flushes, adrenocortical suppression, nausea, carpel tunnel syndrome, hypercalcemia.
